Well here it is - Sex Pistols gold - Chalet du Lac 1976. Everyone knew both nights were recorded but for 40 years only a very few select people have been able listen to the recording,
Hopefully the recording of the first night will be shared soon. But for now this recording will have to titillate your ears.
I have created CD artwork to go with the recording which is available in the download for you all.
set list
Anarchy in the UK
I Wanna Be Me
Seventeen
New York
Don't Give Me No Lip
Stepping Stone
Satellite
Sub-Mission
Liar
No Feelings
Substitute
Pretty Vacant
Problems
No Fun
Please note I believe this to be a mislabeled gig and I actually think its the second night in Paris from 5th September.
On release it has been billed as the first night.
My reasoning is this - from the God save the Sex Pistols site, in an interview with someone who was at both gigs it has been stated that the second gig was shorter in length due to the band having to catch a plane.
The set list posted on the GSTSP site states that Flowers was played at the start and a 2 track encore (Did You No Wrong and Anarchy) at the end. Yet all 3 of these tracks are missing from this recording. The supplier of this recording states it is the complete gig (and there's no reason to doubt that claim) - therefore logically this must be the shorter second gig on the 5th. If anyone can categorically clear this up, without any doubt please get in touch. Whatever the truth is this is still a fantastic recording - very, very enjoyable to listen to.
A massive thank you must go to Partners in Crime from France, for sharing this with all of us - it's very much welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks very much for this - you know how appreciated this is! However, not sure if it's the 5th - I've compared Submission with the one in this youtube clip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddfgFZtvb1M , which is from the 5th - & the 2 versions seem to be different, 'specially as there's tape damage on the youtube clip...anyway, I'm still grateful this has turned up at all...Darkorb...
Just checked the version of DYNW on here with this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDZEtGQxc3s , & they're identical - think this tape might be from the 3rd after all...Darkorb...
Darkorb - that's my fault - I originally added the encore tracks from 3rd from my own personal collection - they were not taken from the recording released today. Today's recording has been amended now and is presented as was released without me adding the encore tracks - they ARE from the 3rd - this recording is from the 5th- sorry for confusing things
ps I've added new artwork work since originally posting this - it reflects the true recording without me fannying around ;-)
Thanks for sorting that one out...btw, any idea if this has been c'righted or 'claimed' yet? I'd like to get this up on torrent beforehand...Darkorb...
thanks
I snatched this streaming audio direct form internet using audacity - saved as a FLAC file, then separated tracks using AVS Audio Editor and posted on here as is. Thats all I can tell you
Thanx Pil Head, Ludde from Sweden
Hi Pilhead,
Do You Have Any Idea What's Happening With MEGA ?
I Can't Download Anything From Any Blog, I Always Got A Message "Over Quota" After Some Minutes While Downloading And The Download Stops Unfinished.
Can You Offer A Filefactory Or Turbobit Alternative Link For The Last Three Superposts (Pistols, Hot Rods & Piranhas) ?
Thank You Very Much.
email me & I'll send you the recordings via Wetransfer. I'm not aware of any issues with Mega (at the moment anyway)
Hello there Pilhead, Thank you for sharing this GEM , I really much Appreciated, CHEERS from LA ,California....Moises
Thanks Thanks Thanks !!!
Awasome Post !!!
I Still believe this gig to be from the 3rd/4th Friday night/Saturday morning mate. I think I can prove it also as the guy comes on the mic after "No Fun" and mentions Sex Pistols and "dimanche" whis is french for sunday. So I think he is saying there'll be more Sex Pistols on sunday. So that makes this gig the Friday night/Saturday morning gig. Cheers Marky
It was time 2 check again .nice stuff again mate thnx ,is this that pink or blue double vinyl plopping up all around this year ?
the recording is from the same source as the colored vinyl
