I was a Toyah fan before she became famous and before she hit the charts with It's A Mystery. Once she went solo I drifted away from her music but over the last couple of years I have rediscovered my love for her. I saw her on the original Anthem Tour so I wanted to see her aagain on the Anthem 40 +1 Tour. I was not disappointed - it was a great night out and she delivered a banging performance.

The Professionals - The Albert, Brighton - 9th August 2022

 

One of my favourite gigs this year. I was the bands roadie and was treated to being able to witness the soundcheck for this gig.

The venue was a complete sell out and there was no room to move. The crowd absolutely rocked and the band delivered an absolutely awesome performance. After the gig Cookie and Tom joined me and my mates and we got absolutely slaughtered. Cookie was still feeling fragile the next morning as he took an early morning walk along Brighton seafront.

I was so pleased to be sent a recording of this gig and so happy to be able to share it with you all.

R.I.P. Keith Levene

 It is with much sadness that I say this, Keith Levene has passed away.

Absolute guitar legend and original founding member of Public Image Limited past away on Friday 11th November 2022

He was a fan and supporter of this blog and even advertised it on his original site back in 2014.

A wonderful musician. Thank you Keith for so much wonderful music and for giving me many happy memories. You will be missed.

My condolences go out to his friends and family and all that knew him.
