I have always loved the Jesus and Mary Chain since day one. I stumbled across them 1 night at a gig in London, in late 1984, and they blew me away. Short set, amazing noise, very pissed and didn't give a fuck. I fell in love with them. Early 1985, they came to Brighton, so I had to go.
By then they had developed a reputation, their gigs were chaotic and never long. I had already seen them so knew what to expect. Others hadn't and couldn't believe they had paid good money for 20 minutes .
