Sex Pistols Recordings on this Blog

For well over a year now Mark Allen has worked on Pistols recordings to clean them up, correct their speed etc. Also Mark has been able to find upgrades to recordings I have. Where I had them as MP3, Mark has tracked down FLAC/WAV versions. If I remember correctly MArk also added a couple I hadnt previously had as well.

Anyway, I intend to trawl through the blog, work out which ones are upgrades & I will share them all with you.

Mark never wants any credit & he does everything because he loves the music & wants the recordings to be as good as possible. But I must give Mark a shout out as he has done a hell of a lot of  work over the last couple of years.

These upgrades will be shared with you all.
I'm just so disorganised I need to work out what I have already shared lol.

PLEASE NOTE, as always I wont be sharing any live recordings that have has an official release.

The Sex Pistols are back together again.....well sort of

Shock announcement!!!!

In early June it was revealed Sex Pistols were coming back.

Steve, Paul & Glen without John. New vocalist, Frank Carter will be stepping in.

2 Gigs were planned as charity events to raise funds for the Bush Hall venue, which has been threatened with closure.

Steve & (more so) Paul have always stayed true to their roots & wanted to help out. The first 2 nights sold out immediately, so a third & final night was added - this also sold out in minutes.

Social Media/the internet had the usual bores commenting about without John its not Sex Pistols. Even though the band was actually Steve & Paul's creation. I do agree that John was the icing on the Sex Pistols cake. Fans are divided.

I dont remember any drama when Steve & Paul did the Generation Sex gigs last year.

I will be at the 3rd & final night, so I will provide my thoughts & opinions after the event.

If anyone records all 3 or any single one of the gigs please send a copy my way to share with everyone else.

Sex Pistols - Club Zebra, Kristinehamn, Sweden - 19th July 1977

every now & again a Sex Pistols recording from the original days comes to light. This one was rumoured to exist for years, but every version was a mislabelled one.

In February this year the real deal finally surfaced, including the soundcheck. To top it off its a genuine soundboard recording.

The sound quality is absolutely awesome. I'm so glad to be able to share this with you as a free download.

Play loud & enjoy.

Who Killed Bambi? screenplay by Roger Ebert

April 26th 2010, writer Roger Ebert decided to print & share his screenplay for the first Sex Pistols film, that was never made. I grabbed a copy at the time & thought I would share it with you all.

In 2010 Roger wrote -
''This, for the benefit of future rock historians, is the transcript of a screenplay I wrote in the summer of 1977. It was tailored for the historic punk rock band the Sex Pistols, and was to be directed by Russ Meyer and produced by the impresario Malcolm McLaren. It still carried its original title, "Anarchy in the U.K.," although shortly after I phoned up with a suggested title change, which was accepted: "Who Killed Bambi?" I wrote about this adventure in my blog entry McLaren & Meyer & Rotten & Vicious & me. Discussions with Meyer, McLaren and Rene Daalder led to this draft. All I intend to do here is reprint it. Comments are open, but I can't discuss what I wrote, why I wrote it, or what I should or shouldn't have written. Frankly, I have no idea.''

Than You Roger for making this available for us fans to read
