Its been a bumper year for new recordings, plus I have also had a few upgrades for old recordings as well.
I never ask for or want details of recording lineage, it doesnt interest me - apologies to you collectors that do like to have that stuff.
Also while we all love a lossless recording, please dont let that put you off sending me something I dont have in a lossy format, ALL additions are always welcome and definately wanted.
2026 has given us more PIL recordings from a single year since 2012. With the PIL tour coming to an end & John about to embark on his Talk Tour, I still hope to have more come my way. If they dont, then I will look forward to what the 2027 Tour will give us.
The new era for the Sex Pistols has seen 17 recordings from 2025 and 11 from 2026 come my way as well. And dont they sound great?
Its also been a joy to receive some duplicate recordings from different sources as well, I'll take everything you want to share with me.
Whatever I get will always come your way.
Thank you to all of you that follow Acid Drops, some of you have been here since the beginning, some of you I have had the pleasure of meeting in the real World too.
Looks like I'll still be doing this in 2027, while the bands are still gigging I'm sure a few new recordings will surface so that we can all enjoy them.
In recent years American PIL fans have felt forgotten, well not any more. The bands 2026 North American tour is coming to an end, but they will be back next year. New dates have just been added.
C'mon PIL Heads get your fix, grab a ticket and have a great night out

Back in 1978 the Sex Pistols played the Longhorn Ballroom. The video and audio of that has always been easily available and has ben officially released. 48 years later the latest version of the band is back.

when I originally posted this way back in 2010, it was in MP3 format. I now have a FLAC version so thought I would share that with you all.
An average (below average???) audience recording from the Dutch mini Tour of '77
Well yesterday I shared a recording of this recent gig, then last night I got sent not 1, but 2 other recordings of the same gig from different sources.
One thing I have always promised you all is that I will share everything I get hold of, even if its only a different source of something I have already shared.

Wonderful news for all you Lydon and PIL fans out there.
I can confirm that PIL's 12th Studio album is completed and will be released very soon.
It will be released in conjuction with A Way With Media, who released the last album, Alive, back in March 2026.
An official announcement is expected once John finishes his Autumn Talk Tour.
It is tentatively hoped that it will be available by the end of this year, but that is not definite.
At this stage I cant say what its called, how many tracks or even what formats will be available, but A Way With Media have promised to keep me in the loop as much as possible.
Keep your eyes on official sites (and here) for more news as & when it comes
