On 24th December last year, original punk, Piranhas frontman, Brighton resident & my mate, Boring Bob Grover passed away.
He was well loved and a very popular man. In February a tribute concert was held at The Albert, featuring bands that all knew Bob & were his mates.
The Piranhas played one final gig, featuring members from all 4 incarnations of the band with Darris Golinski (of The Golinski Brothers fame) on vocals.
The venue was at capacity and everyone there knew Bob. Kirk Brandon (The Pack, Theatre Of Hate & Spear Of Destiny), Pauline Murray (Penetration) and Peter Bywaters (Peter And The Test Tube Babies) were part of the audience.
The performers that played that night were - Wyrd Sisters, UFX (aka Unorfadox),Attila The Stockbroker, Helen McCookerybook, Asbo Derek, The Del Strangefish Inexperience, Too Many Crooks,Dates (Ric Blow Acoustic Set) and finally The Piranhas
Here's some of my pics from that night
