Can you help? I need new recordings to share - what can you send me?

 While I have some indie bands gigs to share I am really running low on new material to give to you all .

So I'm asking, begging - send me anything you can get that would fit in nicely with the feel of this blog.

PIL are touring in September/October this year so any recordings from this tour would absolutely be wanted and welcome .

The Professionals are hoping to get a tour together around November this year and again I'll take anything you guys can send my way.

Really special events are happening soon - Generation Sex are doing some gigs- if you are not aware who they are they are a Generation X/Sex Pistols hybrid super group - featuring Billy Idol, Tony James, Steve Jones and Paul Cook. Their sets are normally a mix of Generation X songs plus Cook & Jones written Sex Pistols songs. 

So far they only have played a couple of gigs a couple of years ago - which Billy streamed live on his Insta account. If anyone can get any of these gigs I would be forever grateful.

I will continue to grab gigs from indie bands and share here as and when I can, I'm really lucky as the indie bands I have been sharing with you are all happy for me to do this

What a fkin nightmare - technology hates me

 I know I'm a bit quiet at the moment but in the last month my laptop finally died , then my external hard drive decided to commit suicide about a week later,

Basically I lost everything.

I blame myself. 

I knew both were pretty wankered and needed replacing but I kept saying oh I'll sort it next month, and I never did. So I got what I deserved.

Cost me a small fortune buying decent new laptop and external hard drive. Luckily for me I have all my recordings burnt to CD-r and also saved on mega cloud.

Now Mega are being cunts, I can literally download a couple of gigs each day so that I can back them up again on my new hard drive....if I want to grab more than that, the bastards want to charge me money to download my own files....well they aint getting a fucking penny out of me.

Its gonna take a while but I'll get everything back, I suppose I should at least be grateful that I havent lost anything.

So learn a lesson from me, if your tech is starting to play up, dont put off either getting it repaired or buying new 

I'm still here though, slightly skint, little bit cheesed off , but I'm not going anywhere 

False Heads - Hope & Ruin, Brighton - 21st October 2022

 for those that know me will know that I have been a massive fan of False Heads from their very earliest days. Around 2014 a friend recommended them to me and said they were right down my street. They hadnt been going long and had nothing released. 

I got chatting to them and when they released their first ep (in 2014) they were kind enough to send me a free download which I fell in love with immediately. 

In July 2015 they supported a band in my home town, so of course I went to see them. They were awesome live, Since then I have never looked back. 

Since then I have always bought all their official releases and merch , either at gigs or through their site & I've seen them every year (except when covid fucked it up for everyone)

I since been lucky enough to be considered a friend by the band , last year they released their 2nd album, Sick Moon. At the Brighton gig, they surprised me with a special gift in recognition of all the support I've given them since day one - a test pressing of the ltd edition Blue Vinyl, Sick Moon. Its my prize possession.

I've been lucky enough to have been sent an audience recording of that night so I'm sharing it with you all. I hope you enjoy it.

A Void - The Shacklewell Arms, London - 9th September 2022 - Dissociation Album Launch Party

 2023 has been a bit quiet so far with obtaining new live audience recordings for the blog. But once again I'm very grateful to Phil Morris for sending me another wonderful recording of the band A Void.

This gig was the launch party for the bands second album, Dissociation. 

This really is a lovely sounding recording and very enjoyable. Check the band out if you get the chance, they really are awesome live.

PollyPikPocketz - The Albert, Brighton - 16th October 2022

 So glad to have been sent a recording of this gig. Its a special one for me.

It was the first time my youngest daughter had been to a punk gig with me and the band also got her up on stage to sing along with one of her favourite songs. Truly a memorable occasion for me 

The band have always been kind to my youngest and they really looked after her and made her feel special.

The Professional - 229 Club, London - 19th December 2022

 So here's my first share of 2023 and what a corker it is as well.

The Professionals ended 2022 with an amazing gig at the 229 in London, Packed out and absolutely rocking. A real Christmas treat.

I'm so lucky to have been sent this lovely audience recording of a truly memorable night. 

On the night we had special guests joining the band on stage. Billy Duffy, Glen Matlock, Hollie Cook and Rhoda Dakar,

Being Christmas it was only appropriate that the night ended with a rendition of the Greedies Classic Merry Jingle
