Sex Pistols - 14th January 1978- Winterland, San Francisco, USA- soundcheck & full gig

Lets face it, this gig is not rare, unknown or hard to find & had many, many releases down the years. So why am I posting it? I hear you ask. Because as usual I'm giving you something slightly different. You can buy the DVD or the CD- they all sound the same.

Recently, after 35 years the sound check for this gig has surfaced- & it aint too bad either. A proper gem. So that's what I'm giving you.... but hang on, the gig I'm posting is slightly different from what you can buy in the shops

Friend of the blog, Sid Vicious, sent me a lovely sounding recording which is actually slightly longer than what we're used to...only a minute or two but it's still worth having.

So I give you the 20 minute sound check plus the full gig in FLAC.

the Blog(ger) is Back! Hello from PIL Head

Hello everybody!
I hope you're all good & well and being nice to each other.
Well amongst other things (personal life shit) I've had no computer for 3 months hence no blogging.
I also had a virus which wiped out my email accounts (Thanks to my son for that one)
Luckily all my bootlegs are backed up on external hard drives & I've managed to rebuild my email accounts AND I HAVE MY COMPUTER!!!!!!!! Hooray!!!!!

I haven't just been sitting on my arse though & I have plenty to share including 6 PIL gigs from 2013.

I've received lots of requests for the PIL set at last week's Glastonbury Festival as this has not been available outside of the UK

SO later this afternoon I will be sharing with you the lossless audio of the complete show that was streamed live in the U.K.

If anyone has emailed me in the last couple of months & not had a reply, please mail me again.
Things are back to normal now & I intend to resume normal regular service

Thanks to all of you for still looking in on my little musical adventure

May the blog Rise with You

Martin Atkins gives Acid Drops the OK

Former PIL drummer- musician, Producer & mentor Martin Atkins has been kind enough to give me his consent to post some live recordings from bands he has been involved with down the years.

more shit from media-coming under- fire

I dont get it???
I had a link removed & a strike added against my media fire account for a post I made back in 2010.. Fucking 2010
Sex Pistols, Winter Gardens, December 1976

the thing I dont understand is that the post in question is an audience recording that is easily available on torrent sites, download sites & Ebay on a regular basis & it HAS NOT been officially of semi officially released as far as I know.

I might email mediafire to find out who put the complaint in

I cant believe some fukka has complained about a post that is over 2 years old & very easily available

It also proves that NO ONE reads the blog properly cos if they did they would know that an email to myself would get the post & link removed with no problems

Bootleg DVD cover collection

Every now & again I like to send something your way that's not the normal Sex Pistols/PIL/etc bootleg audio. I must admit that I have stayed away from posting videos since they're a pain in the arse to share due to size & I havent got the technical skills (or the time to learn the technical skills) to break them down to a better share-able size. But I have loads of vids & I know that plenty of you out there also have a decent bootleg video collection so this is why I'm sharing this file.
A good friend & blog supporter, Simon, has sent me scans of a few DVD covers to share with you all. Simon may be known to some of you as he also works with Tich on the Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Artwork site.
